A century ago, a group of determined European women came to Israel envisioning a new world and a new woman.
Their dream was a society based on gender equality, but the reality they experienced was very different from what they desired. The diaries and texts left by these women offer new insights into the archival footage of that period which forms the backdrop of this documentary. A rare glimpse into the personal lives of Israeli pioneers.
The new award-winning film from celebrated Israeli filmmaker Michal Aviad (Invisible, TJFF 2012).
